Canongate Books

We're delighted by today's announcement that the archive of Canongate Books is to be established at the University of Dundee. Canongate is a leading Scottish publisher whose authors include Barack Obama, Philip Pullman, Nick Cave, Alasdair Gray and the Man Booker Prize winning Yann Martel. This is great news and a very exciting example of partnership working between a business and an archive. Just the kind of thing the National Strategy for Business Archives is looking to showcase.

Archival Education

To become an Archivist or Records Manager you normally require a postgraduate qualification. The Centre for Archive and Information Studies at the University of Dundee offers Masters degrees in Archives, Records Management, Information Rights and Digital Preservation by online distance learning. Our flexible programmes are designed to provide you with the essential theory and practice required to work in this field and are accredited by the Archives and Records Association (formerly the Society of Archivists).
